Groundbreaking Ceremony

Our Lady of Fatima Elementary held their official groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, April 5 for the construction of a 12,000 square-foot multi-purpose facility on campus.  For the official groundbreaking ceremony, Bishop Louis Kihneman, Father Henry McInerney, Mayor Andrew, “FoFo” Gillich, Principal Cindy Hahn, School Board President Rob Myers, members of the building committee, faculty, staff, students, parents, and friends of Fatima gathered.

Bishop Kihneman blessed the site and Rob Myers thanked Father Henry, Principal Cindy Hahn, members of the building committee, and all the faculty, staff, students, parents, and friends of Fatima for their support. As Bishop Kihneman and Father Henry showcased their tractor-driving skills, the committee members moved the first piece of dirt with gold shovels.

The project was contracted to Irby Construction and is scheduled for completion in spring 2024.
