Uniform Policy

Our Lady of Fatima Elementary has a uniform policy for all students. Uniforms provide our students with a sense of identity and membership. We believe a uniform policy helps to eliminate class distinctions and affirms our belief that a student’s understanding of self should be based upon faith, character, and Christian dignity. Students are required to wear uniforms on all school days except special occasions as provided by the principal.

Boy’s Uniform

• Shirt: White knit shirt with emblem. Shirt must be tucked in at all times.
• Pants: Long navy uniform pant.
• Shorts: Navy uniform knee-high walking shorts.
• Jacket:  Navy, black, or white  sweatshirt or lightweight jacket plain or with OLF emblem.
• Socks: Solid white or navy socks any type.
• Shoes: Athletic shoes ONLY! Cleats, sandals, boots, flip-flops and lighted shoes are prohibited.

Girl’s Uniform

• Shirt: White knit shirt with emblem. Shirt must be tucked in at all times.
• Pants: Long navy uniform pant.
• Shorts: Navy uniform knee-high walking shorts.
• Skirts: Plaid knee length skirts or skort will be allowed.
• Jacket: Navy, black, or white  sweatshirt or lightweight jacket plain or with OLF emblem.
• Socks: Solid white or navy socks any type.
• Shoes: Athletic shoes ONLY!. Cleats, sandals, boots, flip-flops and lighted shoes are prohibited.

Other Dress Code Regulations

• No makeup.
• No fad haircuts – rat tails, spike, colored, hair wraps, beaded hair wraps, etc.
• Hair cannot impair or obstruct vision.
• Boys cannot have long hair – bangs at least ½” about eyebrows and no hair over ears.
• Boys cannot wear earrings.
• Girls may not wear dangling earrings – posts only and no hoops.
• Jewelry is not allowed except religious medals, cross, or chain.
• Coats may not be worn in class. Uniform sweater or sweatshirt only.
• Sweatpants may not be worn under the uniform.
• Jeans, colored socks, fad clothes, buttons, beads, etc are not allowed.
• Boots, sandals, and flip flops are prohibited.
• Long sleeve shirts may not be worn under school uniform shirt.
• No body piercings.
• No gum.

Special Occasions – Street Clothes Day Dress Code

• Fingertip length shorts and dresses (no short shorts).
• No spaghetti straps or tank tops.
• No flip flops, sandals, or crocs.
• No inappropriate t shirt sayings or graphics.

Dress Code Violations

• 1st Violation – note will be sent home for parent’s signature.
• 2nd Violation – student will sit out at recess.
• 3rd Violation – one point will be deducted per offense.
