The National Geographic Bee is an annual geography contest sponsored by the National Geographic Society. The bee, held every year since 1989, is open to students in the fourth through eight grade in participating schools from the U.S. OLF Elementary held an in-school geography bee and this year’s winners were Shane Dohrer (6th grade – 1st Place), Brodie Mandal (5th grade – 2nd Place) and British Boles (4th grade – 3rd Place). By taking first place, Shane is eligible to qualify for state competition. Shane recently took a geography test and we are awaiting the results. Good luck Shane.
